At least 90% of health conditions have an emotional base. So when another doctor tells you “it’s all in your head,” or “you just have to live with it” or “you have only two years to live at most” its time to find another doctor, one who will support you on your healing journey.
It is vitally necessary that you understand what a doctor can and cannot do for you. Your health is your responsibility. A doctor can list your symptoms, send you for some tests, refer you to a specialist and write lots and lots and lots of prescriptions, most of which will only dumb down the symptoms and cause a whole lot of other health problems. If you need surgery (do you really need it?) then many new methods of surgery are really innovative and helpful.
If you are on medications (which you most likely are) for goodness sake, do not stop your meds without consulting with a doctor. Before you see the doctor look up your prescriptions online, find out what problems they can cause. If you do not use a computer then talk with your pharmacist, ask for the fact sheets on your prescriptions. Then if they are causing symptoms think carefully, are they improving your quality of life. If so, see if there is an alternative, if not then work on other healing modalities, change your diet, get the best exercise for you, until you can lessen the dose, or get off that medication entirely.
e.g. If you have fibromyalgia more exercise is not a good idea, it can make you much worse. Keep it to a minimum and choose something more gentle such as walking, yoga, Qi gong, or tai chi.
Understand that medications can be really helpful for some conditions, all the time or temporarily. If you do your research and find the dietary changes and supplements that will alleviate all or cure some of your conditions keep it up.

Chinese medicine has become more popular in North America and has been modified to suit the temperament of the people on this continent. Acupuncture and the use of herbal preparations are the most used here. The special Chinese pulses are taken which tell the Dr. what parts of the system are malfunctioning and the energy flows in the body are used to decide which herbs to prescribe for the patient, which are prepared for the client which are designed to strengthen the weaknesses within. Sometimes moxibustion is used and often acupuncture.
Chinese medicine often strengthens the conditions and can effect a permanent cure. I have met people who were given up on by Medical Doctors and considered to have only a short time to live. Two years in this woman’s case. That was about twenty years ago and this woman is still going strong.
Chiropracters can bring health and vitality to a person, even depression can be improved by realigning the spine. There are different styles of chiropractic care. One type may work better for you. It pays to get a referral so you can get one that is exceptional in what they do.
I could not breathe properly for ten years after falling off a horse and landing on a rock. This pushed one of my ribs up under the others. It was several chiropractors later that I went to one that specialized in sports injuries. It was amazing to be able to breathe properly again.
Accupuntcure can have amazing results, adjusting hormone imbalances, releasing stress just to name a few.
Spinal Decompression This is fairly new and very expensive. My rheumatologist says it works well, but did not think the cost justified in my case. I have heard some very positive results from this modality.
